Finished this one a bout two weeks ago, the only commission I really had for Christmas, really need to work on the whole painting regularly thing.

Desk Job December!

The month isn't up but it's the last day of work before my Christmas Holidays! So, my sketches... I love little deer boys....or goat boys? Haven't decided.

It's a little odd when outside f getting a sale my happiest feeling at work is when I get to start a new month on the calendar/ All that fresh unused paper! It's just..frustrating waiting for the time to go by so I can use it. Can't draw on a day that hasn't passed yet.

More doodles between calling. This...is about ll I've been doingfor hte past month drawing wise. Sad, but hey! I'm using them in my sketchbook for the 2012 Sketchbook Project! My theme is "nothing new" If I was smart I wouldn't be scanning any of these cause I'll jsut ened to do it again when the whole bookis together to see how the pages work together...but I like sharing doodle with.... my pretend audience :P

C'est Fini

Now that its done and gone out of my hands... the finished product! So much to criticize. It was done in response to the poem: No Wonder – Doug Walbourne-Gough
Spring, verdant lust reawakened
after months of bare-branched impotence.
Buds begin to swell, their winter-long
secrets ready to burst. All this thick-lush
life seeks outlet.
Tulips penetrate topsoil, stamens get ready
to rumble with bumble bees, forget-me-nots
waiting to be groped in groups as dandelions
push their yellow tushes in the air.
All this subtle sex, buzzing through
backyards and public parks, no wonder
my nostrils flare when I stare into the soft
red folds of a rose.

Been doing some commission portraits lately. Nothing epic or amazingly exciting happening in life. The piece I'm doing for a show planned by Lisa Wakeham is done and going to her soon. But this is the in progress shot I took a couple weeks ago. Figured I should put it up before I put up the final one!

Done and Gone

Wretched though it may be, the paintings finished and on its way. I've been paid...and I guess I can't really complain. I also can't paint strait lines! Things'll be better next time.

Sitting waiting....if only there were cupcakes

Alright, so my portfolio is off to be judged. I....am uncertain. Some things I'm confidant about. I like my self portrait, my cupcake here... myhand and footdraws I was pleased with. The perspective thin though? A bookshelf in 2 point, with min 12 items....I got it done, the bookshelf was in perspective, theres items on it! I just..hope they're goodenough? enoguh variety sort of thing....but I don't know! And I can't even ask opinions because I only had one copy and it is goooone away to New Brunswick. Anyways....here's hoping. Getting turned down would crush my little artistic spirits, for a while anyways.

So getting a decent picture of a super large figure drawing is the suck. Now I have two versions of one drawing! One prints out dark...the other has looks nice but doesn't show as muchdetail...wtf...and which to use?

Well I have two footdrawings done. Some unifinished.... I got some things photocopied at stapels today. haha, they didn't give back oneof my drawings! I didn't realize until I got home...but at least I have the photocopy of it, so I'm good for the 'needs togo in my portfolio' aspect there... So here's my feets. I tried doing a model drawing at bookclub but...yick, the results are..well you can see. And a possible 'my interests' peice.
